River Maps: Lake Superior
This poster features the major river systems which feed Lake Superior. There are some great river names on this map — see below. I shrank the lake relative to the rivers, to focus on the latter. That’s the fun part about cartograms.
This map features the following rivers, creeks, (etc.): St Louis, Cloquet, Pigeon, Arrow, Kaministiquia & Dog, Shebandowan, Whitefish, Nipigon, Gull, Namewaminikan, Onaman, Pic, White, Michipicoten, Mapgie, Montreal, St Marys, Garden, Tahquamenon, Ontonagon.

There are so many waterfalls in this area. How do you depict a waterfall on your map ?
There are, indeed. I don’t depict waterfalls, however. It’s something I considered, but decided to save for another time or another version of this project.
