River Maps: Lower Missouri River

The Lower Missouri River watershed (for me, defined as the portion of the river below its confluence with the Big Sioux). This is part of my ongoing atlas project, and in order to get as much detail as possible, I had to split the whole of the Missouri system into two spreads.

It still amazes me that Denver is on a river which eventually flows through New Orleans. The reach of the Mississippi system is massive.

This map features the following rivers, creeks, (etc.): Mississippi (portions), Missouri (portions), Gasconade, Osage & Marais des Cygnes, Chariton, Grand, Kansas & Smoky Hill, Solomon, Republican, Big Blue, Nishnabotna, Little Sioux, Elkhorn, Loup, Platte (and its North and South branches), Laramie, and Lodgepole.
